Thomas D. Coats, M.D. has been a resident of Montgomery County for more than forty years. He graduated from Abington High School and Lafayette College. He worked briefly as an engineer before returning to medical school at Jefferson Medical College. After medical school, he took his internship at Abington Memorial Hospital and an ophthalmology
residency at Wills Eye Hospital. Dr. Coats is board-certified in ophthalmology. He is currently on staff at Wills Eye Hospital, Abington Memorial Hospital, Montgomery Surgery Center and Central Montgomery Medical Center. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, the
Pennsylvania Medical Society, and the Montgomery County Medical Society. His interests are in cataract surgery and contact lenses.
Thomas J. O'Connor, M.D. is a graduate of Boston College. He completed his medical training at Tufts University School of Medicine, and his ophthalmology residency training at Eye and Ear Hospital at the University of Pittsburgh. He is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is on the medical staff of Montgomery Surgery Center, Central Montgomery Medical Center, and Wills Eye Hospital, where he is an associate surgeon. His special interests include cataract and intraocular lens surgery, refractive surgery including LASIK and PRK, and anterior segment – “front of the eye.” He performs medical and surgical care of glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy and eyelid disease.

Geoffrey P. Schwartz, M.D. is a graduate of Bowdoin College, Columbia University, and Jefferson Medical College. He completed his internship at Saint Vincent's Hospital in New York City, his residency in Ophthalmology at Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia, and his glaucoma fellowship at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, Florida. He is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He has published several book chapters on glaucoma, as well as multiple articles on Ophthalmology in peer reviewed Journals. He is a member of the American Board of Ophthalmology, the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, the American Medical Association, and the Pennsylvania Academy of Ophthalmology. He is on the medical staff of the Montgomery Surgery Center, Central Montgomery Medical Center, and the Glaucoma Service at Wills Eye Hospital where he
teaches residents and medical students. He is a surgeon in the Department of Glaucoma at Wills Eye Hospital. Dr. Schwartz' special areas of interest are in the medical, laser, and surgical treatment of glaucoma.

Robert Gladnick, O.D. graduated from Pennsylvania's College of Optometry and obtained his undergraduate degree from Philadelphia College of Textile and Science with a B.S. degree in Life Sciences. He is licensed to practice in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Dr. Gladnick has lectured on optics and contact lenses. While Dr. Gladnick is a general optometrist, his special interest is contact lens fittings, including disposables, bifocals and
astigmatism contact lenses.
