Office Visits

Ophthalmic Associates | Office Policies Lansdale PA | Pottstown PAWe ask that you try to arrive promptly for your appointment. We require 24 hours notice of cancellation in the event you are unable to keep your appointment. Please bring your eyeglasses, contact lenses and a list of all your medications with you on each visit. When you arrive for a routine eye examination, please plan to spend at least one hour in our office.

In order to perform a thorough examination of your eyes, we will perform a number of diagnostic tests. We will test for visual changes, glaucoma, cataracts, corneal disease, macular disease, and retinal disease. We will use eye drops to dilate your eyes so that the doctor can make an accurate determination of your condition. This process is painless, but usually these drops will blur your near vision temporarily and cause your eyes to be sensitive to light. These side effects will disappear within two to four hours after the examination. You may want to bring sunglasses to wear after the examination because your eyes may be sensitive to sunlight. Temporary sunglasses will be provided. We recommend that you bring a driver, if possible.

Please Note:

  1. Minors must be accompanied by a parent.
  2. We have a 15 minute late policy. Please arrive at your scheduled time or we will have to reschedule.
  3. If you do not show up for your appointment, a no show fee will be assesed.
